Which type?
ROTARY MODELS
Rotary models are most often used on fine dry materials, as these materials often only need gentle vibration to make them flow. Larger particles, over 40 mm, may need more amplitude and lower frequency.

LINEAR NON-IMPACTING MODELS
Linear non-impacting models are excellent for larger size dry product and damp materials where the extra working moment is required.

IMPACTING MODELS
If the product is really wet or sticky then the impacting models are commonly used.

IMPACTING MODELS
What size?

The usual rule of thumb is to allow 1 newton of force for every 1 kg of product in the taper part of the hopper. This can vary dependent upon vibrator type and product characteristics.
