Rotary or linear vibrators are effective on moving product down a chute. They will give 'vibration assisted gravity' movement with limited control being by the angle of the chute and the amplitude of vibration.
For small dry particles rotary vibrators are used, while for damp material linear vibrators are usually more suited. This model also gives more control and can be used on other products.
For true controlled feed rate a specifically designed feeder should be used.
